High strength polypropylene yarn goes through storage and turnover from factory delivery to downstream processing. Storage environment and stacking mode indirectly affect bobbin condition and finish stability. Improper preservation may trigger malfunctions during doubling‑twisting and weaving. Proper storage helps retain original processing performance of yarns.
Warehouse shall be well‑ventilated and dry, away from direct high‑temperature sunlight. Long‑time high‑temperature condition traps heat inside yarn bobbins and causes partial yarn‑layer adhesion. Excessive ambient humidity hardly absorbs by polypropylene itself yet damages outer packages, brings contamination and raises flying‑fiber risk during processing. Dope‑dyed colored polypropylene high‑tenacity filament shall avoid long‑time strong light exposure to mitigate color‑change risk.
Stacking method deserves attention. Yarn bobbins shall not be piled too high. Bottom bobbins suffer heavy compression, resulting in bobbin deformation and yarn‑layer damage, further leading to yarn tangling during unwinding. Pallets are suggested for overhead storage away from floors and walls to reduce moisture erosion. Batches shall be clearly marked and managed under first‑in‑first‑out principle.
Before production, yarn bobbins are recommended to stay in workshop for temperature acclimatization, so as to narrow temperature gap between warehouse and production area and prevent internal condensation. Sampling inspection shall be carried out for bobbins with adhesion, deformation or damaged packages before mass‑production application.
Buyers may agree on storage cycle in purchasing contracts to avoid excessive long‑term stock and minimize performance deviation caused by environmental factors.
Changzhou Juntai chemical fiber products Co., LTD adopts standardized package and marks for delivered polypropylene high‑tenacity filament and provides storage suggestions for clients. It supplies yarn products of various specifications for rope‑net, weaving‑ribbon and geotechnical‑product industries.
