On July 1, guided by China Textile Industry Federation, sponsored by Shaoxing Science and Technology Association, Shaoxing Market Supervision Bureau, Shaoxing Quality and Technology Supervision and Testing Institute, National Textile Chemical Quality Inspection and Testing Center (Zhejiang), Shaoxing University of Arts and Sciences, Textile Science and Engineering College, The international sustainable development of modern textile industry exchange activities supported by China Textile Engineering Society, Shaoxing Textile Engineering Society and Shaoxing Textile Industry Association were held in Shaoxing.

Zhu Meifang, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of Donghua University, was specially invited to make a keynote report, Sun Ximin, deputy director of Science and Technology Development Department of China Textile Industry Federation, Bai Meng, deputy secretary-general of China Textile Engineering Society and other leaders and experts attended, and Huang Lifeng, Party secretary and director of Shaoxing Market Supervision Bureau (Municipal Intellectual Property Office), and Feng Guoqiang, Party secretary of Shaoxing Science and Technology Association, delivered speeches respectively. More than 200 people from Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu and other places, including relevant authorities, industry associations, universities, scientific research institutions, enterprises, news media and other participants.

 The great potential of innovation and development of textile industry and the wide range of fiber materials are explained. The importance of basic research was emphasized, and by introducing the development history of fiber materials and sharing the experimental results of the academician team, the textile industry enterprises were encouraged to develop to a higher level and more cutting-edge.

At the meeting, the unveiling ceremony of "Key Laboratory of China Textile Association and Research and Development Center of Textile and Garment Quality Safety Evaluation Technology of China Textile Engineering Society" was also held.

After the meeting, Academician Zhu Meifang and his delegation also visited the exhibition hall of Shaoxing Quality and Technology Supervision and Testing Institute and the National Textile Chemicals Center Laboratory.
